Mount Hymettus Aesthetic Forest – Drakospito loop Beautiful circular route on the slope of Mount Ymittos through the sensational Aesthetic Forest. The route starts from the Kessariani Fire Station, ascends south, reaching the Drakospito, near an ancient quarry. It is a small building made of large rocks and stones. It was probably a place of worship or simply the quarrymen’s accommodation. The route returns northeast by climbing up the slope into the forest and then descends west, passing by the Kalopoula Spring, to the starting point.
