Inside the majestic church with marble finishings you will see a marble bath for baptisms- one of the few examples in Greece.

Set in an impressive dome, the bath possesses a system of water and air pipelines, which during the Turkish Occupation was converted into an olive oil press for the surrounding olive trees.

Kaisariani Monastery is an archaeological site ,built on the ruins of an ancient temple dedicated to the goddess Demetra. The columns of the ancient temple still survive today in the courtyard.

Totally unknown to tourists, Kaisariani Monastery spreads over 1500 acres of beautiful forest boasting a botanical garden protecting over 560 endangered species.

On Good Friday the Greek Easter epitaph, the symbolic funeral bier of Jesus Christ , is covered completely with flowers including the canopy . The church bells toll in mourning.
The Easter Epitaph is brought outside on a procession , with the congregation following and returns to the church. An unforgettable cultural experience for you!
